The book presents a study conducted in 2007 and 2008 in the Slovak–Hungarian border region, the aim of which was to study the everyday movements of the population living in the border region. The question was how the EU integration and the Schengen Zone promotes the integration, the development and the expansion of the cross-border regions and whether the integration of the states along the internal borders of the European Union will bring about the integration of the cross-border regions as well.
